Temple Street Children’s University Hospital – Route 66
Whitewater Foundation are again raising funds for Temple Street Children’s University Hospital and intend to raise in excess of €35,000.
Our one important goal is to help save the lives of critically ill children here in Ireland.
We have five Whitewater volunteers who are embarking on this fundraiser and taking on the Route 66 challenge. This is a bi-annual trip and has been organised since 2002. The challenge takes 14 days and will see our bikers and pillion travel through 9 states and 4 different time zones. They will travel from Illinois through Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and finally California.
As they ride this wonderful road, always on a 66er’s mind are the brave little patients in Temple Street that urgently need the best possible care that can be given to them. To date this fundraising challenge has raised over €2.5 million for sick children and the impact of this trip is visible throughout the hospital. e big hearted bikers have helped to redevelop critical wards and purchase vital life-saving equipment.
This truly is one of the most exhilarating motorcycle challenges in the world!
We will be taking on many challenges to raise these funds from bucket collections to bag packing and much more. Keep an eye on our Whitewater Foundation page for activities & we will be delighted to receive any donations or ideas….
