Blazing Saddle – Cycle for Kids 6000 – 2013
Mark Keating Director/Owner of Whitewater took on his first solo charity cycle challenge leaving Dublin on 12th August 2013, cycling to Belgrade and back to Dublin returning 26th of October- a total of 6,680km across 12 countries to raise €60,000 (Whitewater directly contributed 24 k of these funds) for Temple Street Children’s University Hospital, Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin and The Mother and Child Hospital in Belgrade.

Mother and Childs Hospital, Belgrade, Serbia.
We raised €8,000.00 to buy new equipment in the Mother and Childs Hospital Belgrade. – The hospital purchased a new Skin Graft Mesher. This will improve the way a skin graft is performed to the burn area and reduce the chance of additional infection to children who have suffered severe burns.

We raised €26,000.00 to purchase new equipment in Temple Street Children’s University Hospital this purchased a NoxBoxi Nitric Oxide Delivery System which is used for very sick children who are not responding to conventional ventilation.

We raised €26,000.00 to buy new equipment in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, – this bought a Bedside Brain Monitor which will be used to help assess the condition of very sick new born babies in the ICU; this equipment will reduce the chance of brain damage to very ill children.
